PRIVATE CHEFS & CATERING TEAMS
You are welcome to use your own caterers for a Lambay event, but if you do not have a specific preference, we strongly advise using those who have prior experience of working on Lambay.
Our carefully selected chefs and catering teams all have experience in what an event on Lambay entails; they know the facilities well and are used to operating in the unusual circumstances of an island. While their rates will reflect these significant challenges, they remain competitive within their price brackets.

Lottie is our fantastic in-house island chef. She sings, she dances, she entertains... and she creates beautiful home-style dishes that are as delicious to the eye as to the taste buds. Everything is cooked from scratch and with a focus on seasonal ingredients. Ideal for intimate groups who enjoy healthy, flavoursome cooking in an informal setting. For larger groups, Lottie teams up with Pedro Mitchell-Innes to create mouthwatering buffets and BBQs.
Erin & Jo are our other go-to island caterers for medium to large size events, providing a professional and extremely friendly service with beautifully presented dishes.
These fine ladies are all about personal service and fresh ingredients, sourcing locally where possible and garnishing their food with fresh flowers, herbs and plants foraged right here on Lambay. They provide delicious, fresh and beautiful food bursting with life and nutrition and perfectly reflecting the island flavours and sustainable living ethos.
Conor's local team provides efficient, professional and reliable service with generous portions of fresh and delicious food at competitive prices; ideal for corporate events or for groups looking to bring over a picnic lunch for the day.
MARQUEES, BEDOUIN TENTS & YURTS
The largest indoor space on Lambay is the Bothy Club Room, which can seat a maximum of 40 people using banqueting tables and chairs. If you would like additional sheltered space for dancing and relaxing, or are planning an event for more than 40 people, we strongly recommend hiring a marquee or bedouin tent to safeguard against inclement weather.
Please note that you may have to hire the marquee or tent for longer than the length of your event to allow time for delivery to the island (tide dependent), set up, dismantling and returning it to the mainland.
LPM BOHEMIA - this is our trusted supplier for large marquees or long barns designed to keep everyone well sheltered and toasty no matter what the weather outside. They can also supply lighting, optional decorations, additional chairs and tables, heating, etc. Please feel free to contact them directly for further information and quotes.
You may prefer a more bedouin-style shelter using stretch tents and canopies. These can be set up to have plenty of open sides, or to ensure maximum protection from the elements. They look simply beautiful in the Lambay landscape. Please contact us for a selection of suppliers.
LIVE MUSIC
If you would like some live music at your event, we have a few trusted and highly recommended artists for you to choose from.
JAZZ TRIO
Double bass player, Nev Lloyd of Malahide, has played on Lambay many times with his associates to provide relaxed, atmospheric background music. These guys are ideal for creating the perfect island ambience for drinks, canapés or lunch. A more formal set up can be created with added percussion and amplified sound.
JAZZ PIANO
Elizabeth Tillotson is one of the finest Jazz pianists and vocalists in London, with a wealth of experience in performing at events and weddings. She has a wide repertoire of Jazz standards and is happy to take requests. To perform on Lambay she would play on a high-quality keyboard, unless you would prefer to hire a grand piano from the mainland.
TRADITIONAL FOLK
Nev Lloyd and associates also perform Traditional Irish folk music with a double bass, acoustic guitar, fiddle and singing. Perfect to enjoy while sitting around the fire, but again this can be formalised with amplification and additional musicians.
ELECTRIC CEILI
Perfect for getting everyone dancing - Electric Ceili are a four-piece band (fiddle, flute, guitar and bass) with a professional caller to get everyone dancing the Ceili like they've been doing it all their lives.
SOUND EQUIPMENT
