MICHAEL O'BRIEN & ALEX BARING
Our trainers offer a knowledge-based training, with a military twist.
Recognising that the business environment is uncertain and constantly changing, Alexander Baring (Lambay's Managing Director) & Michael O’Brien (Leadership Development & Positive Psychology Coach) used their shared military experience to create the Lambay Team Flow Training courses (affectionately dubbed "Tight Spot") in 2014 to help professional teams develop their planning and leadership skills, while achieving peak performance as a group.
The course is designed to enable teams, or individuals, to enhance their company’s business agility, and provide them with the capacity to anticipate and better respond to constantly shifting demands and dynamics.
All training sessions are unique and designed to meet the specific needs of each company and its designated course participants.

COURSE FORMAT
Bespoke training to meet your needs
To prepare the programme content and structure, we work with your HR department and senior managers concerned in order to develop an understanding of your company culture, vision and requirements, as well as the needs of your designated participants.
Following initial consultation we prepare a proposal for you including a detailed programme and a comprehensive list of deliverables.
The training team for each course is carefully selected from our panel of associates to ensure that your specific requirements are met.
Often we do not give participants any advance knowledge of their programme structure. This ensures the participants each benefit from an unexpected and rewarding experience on Lambay.
By building a personal relationship in this way, we ensure that your training goals and needs are addressed.

TESTIMONIALS
The learning curve was unlike anything I have experienced
“The mix of workshop and practical exercises that spanned both day and night kept me on my toes, completely challenging my current thought processes and taking me out of my comfort zone.
Within weeks of returning from Lambay, I put the experience into action using the problem-solving techniques with great success. For me, the group teamwork element was probably the most unexpected part – to share these outdoor experiences with seven colleagues, with whom I had little previous interaction outside work, was brilliant and we came out the other end as friends.”
– Alex, HR Manager, UK
Lambay as a setting is incredible
“Unsure of what to expect from our trip to Lambay, my colleagues and I were immediately put at ease by the warmth, professionalism and humour of the team. Over the course of three days we were challenged via a number of innovative and engaging scenarios, in such a way that not only did we achieve real and successful teamwork during the course itself, but our experiences have since had a real carryover in the workplace.
Lambay as a setting is incredible – luxurious accommodation, breath-taking scenery, and a sense of isolation that leaves you with little choice but to consign your Blackberry to your travel bag and immerse yourself completely in the programme at hand. Best of all … there are wallabies!”
– Ed, Comms & Marketing Manager, PARIS
