A limited number of private tours of the famous Lutyens architecture on Lambay is available on weekdays between March and November (not in December, January or February).  Tours last two hours and are led by a member of the Baring family or a trusted friend, who has a personal and in-depth knowledge of the island's history and architecture.

The private tour encompasses the work done by Sir Edwin Lutyens and Cecil Baring between 1908 and 1933 to transform Lambay into the architectural paradise it is today.  The tour includes the Lambay Castle (exterior and interior of the Old Fort), the Mausoleum, the Bothy, Coastguard Cottages and Whitehouse (exterior), the Chapel and the Real Tennis Court, with personal anecdotes from your guide.

Tours are a set single fee for groups of up to 12 people.  Please note individual tickets are not available; if you wish to book for just one or two people, please go through a club or society (e.g. the IGS, the RDS or the IHHA).

Boat transfers between Malahide and Lambay are organised and included as part of the tour package.  Boat timings are tide dependent and the sea crossing takes approximately 20 minutes.  We do not run tours in December, January or February as the weather is too unpredictable.
